Our services

Your pet is the only pet present in the crematory ensuring 100% accuracy. Your pet’s unique tracking barcode accompanies them throughout the entire cremation process ensuring that you receive your pet’s cremains. The cost of cremation is based on the weight of your pet and includes the following: an ink stamped paw print, ink stamped nose print, clipping of fur/feather/scale, a basic container to hold cremains, and a Certificate of Cremation

*Ink stamped paw print, ink stamp nose print, and clipping of fur/feather/scale are not included when a pet has a necropsy. An impression paw print is also not able to be included when a pet has a necropsy.

Cremated remains are ready to be returned within 7 business days from the time we bring your pet into our care. You will be notified when your pet’s cremains are ready to be picked up. State Issued Identification is required to receive your pet’s cremains. Cremains can be picked up during normal business hours, or shipped via USPS Priority Mail Express for an additional fee, or delivered to your home and/or primary vet clinic within 15 miles of our location for an additional fee.

Your pet is cremated in a partitioned area that is separate from other pets inside the crematory. When the cremation process is complete, we ensure that you receive the cremated remains of your pet. Your pet will be cremated along side other pets. The cost of cremation is based on the weight of your pet and there will be no return of cremains.

Sometimes our pets pass suddenly but usually we know when the end is near. We offer pre-arrangement so that when the time comes to say goodbye, you won’t need to worry about the details. Give us a call or complete the online form and we’ll make sure your final days with your pet are free of any arrangement worries.

An After Hour Fee will be applied outside of business hours and on the following holidays:
New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after Christmas.

After Hour Fees

$150.00 to bring a pet into our care at the crematory by appointment

University of Georgia

The University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital Small Animal Emergency is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and will hold your pet until the next business day.

UGA charges a holding fee between $25.00 and $100.00 based on your pet’s weight. Please let UGA staff know that you would like Athens Pet Cremation to cremate your pet and we will be notified of your pet’s passing. Our team will contact you during business hours to make arrangements to bring your pet into our care. There is no transportation fee to bring your pet into our care from the University of Georgia Veterinary Teach Hospital and/or University of Georgia Diagnostic Lab/Necropsy.
